What is the difference between freestanding and built-in wine fridges?

Freestanding wine coolers of BODEGA43 are built and designed to fit in every corner of your house. Freestanding wine coolers are more flexible and versatile than built-in wine fridges, because built-in wine coolers are designed to be installed under the counter of a kitchen. Most built-in wine coolers of BODEGA43 can also be used as free standing, but not the other way around.

The main difference between an under counter wine cooler and a free-standing wine cooler is that the heat is released at the front with a built-in wine cooler and at the back with a free-standing wine fridge. It is therefore better not to build in a freestanding wine fridge.

The freestanding wine fridges of BODEGA43 offer space for 24 to 180 bottles of wine. All of them are dual zone and equipped with compressor cooling technology: an efficient cooling technology for larger cooling equipment. In addition, the compressor dual-zone wine coolers have a humidity control (against drying of the cork). Depending on the model, these dual-zone wine coolers can be placed freestanding, built-in with some ventilation space or completely tightly installed.

  • Compressor cooling wine coolers of BODEGA43 control temperatures with much more precision and are capable of getting down to lower temperatures. Our wine coolers are much less affected by the external temperature and will only click into action when necessary, making them an energy efficient option. Our BODEGA43 wine cabinets are modern wine cabinets with all new technologies integrated in the cabinet.
  • Wine Cooler Shop gives you the option to change the handling of the wine coolers door to provide greater installation flexibility.
  • Wooden shelving of BODEGA43. Wooden shelves are preferable to wire racks as they are non scratch and will help to keep bottles and labels in immaculate condition. Also, wood naturally absorbs vibrations, which will help to retain the natural balance. Wooden slatted shelves hold wine bottles securely and can be pulled out easily allowing you to choose your next bottle with ease!
  • It is important to store wine away from direct sunlight. BODEGA43 wine coolers have integrated full-glass design doors. These full-glass design doors are UV resistant. The protective glass will stop any UV rays penetrating through and damaging your wine.
